GlossyBox: March 2016

What is GlossyBox?

Glossybox is a customized box of 5-6 beauty products curated by a team of beauty experts and mailed directly to my door. They offer three different subscription plan, once-a-month, yearly, or just once. Depending on your subscription, the prices may vary. Personally, I got a monthly subscription for $22 with Free Shipping. Yey, to that.

For this month’s subscription we got products that can be used from head to toe, yes, head to toe. Let’s find out what they are.

Product #1: Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner by Onesta

Personal Opinion: I love the multi-purpose quality of these products. Already fallen in love with the conditioner, it may not leave my hair as smooth as I want it to be, but it will do. The size I got is perfect for an out of town get away and such. Not sure about purchasing the full size though. I love the conditioner, it smells mellow and not too strong but the ginger in the shampoo overwhelms me a bit.

Name the Price: Full size in 9 oz. is $18, the one I got in the box is 3 oz. with an estimate price of $6.00.

Heart it: ❤❤❤

Product #2: Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush 504 by Luxie Beauty

Personal Opinion: I can’t say much about brushes since I rarely use brush when applying make-up. Yes, I’m one of those girls who just use my hands, fingers, or this one lone brush for everything. However, as far as I can tell, this Angled Brush by Luxie is truly well made, I’ve been playing around with it and no hair have fallen off. So far, so good.

Name the Price: The one in the box is with a price of $16.00.

Heart it: ❤❤❤❤❤

Product #3: Super Soft Hand Lotion in Raspberry & Blackberry by I Love… Cosmetics

Personal Opinion: It made me laugh reading the little warning at the back of the bottle that says, “I am not a food; Please do not try to eat me.” Because seriously, it smells so sweet and appetizing I’m tempted to give it a lick. So I guess it is justified to put that little warning on the tube. Though it may smell nice, I don’t think I would want to smell that sweet and fruity all day. Some people may love the scent of pastry puff all day, but not on me. I’m more the freshly laundered clothes type of scent girl.

Name the Price: Full size in 2.5 oz. is $6, the one I got in the box is a full size.

Heart it: ❤❤❤

Product #4: Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua by Too Faced

Personal Opinion: I must say, I’m not much of a fan for liquid stuff on my lips. But this one, I fell in love with in one stroke. Melted Chihuahua (the name sort of a bit disturbing) is muted in color that will go on any skin color. The velvet tip does help with application.

Name the Price: Full size in .40 oz. is $21, the one I got in the box is .16 oz. with an estimate price of $8.40.

Heart it: ❤❤❤❤❤

Product #5: Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black by Eyeko

Personal Opinion: The eyeliner claims it’s “waterproof”, well, it isn’t. Not even smudge proof. Not even five minutes of typical hot weather sweating and the eyeliner already creating a black raccoon eyes on me. Very disappointing. On the other hand, though, it does glide effortlessly on my eyelid and it gives me a fine line. Just the formula of their waterproofing needs a bit of work.

Name the Price: Full size in .07 oz. is $20, the one I got in the box is .04 oz. with an estimate price of $11.00.

Overall Opinion for this Month:

I’m not really that hyped about this month’s box. Though I fell in love with two of the item on this box, it doesn’t cover pay off the price. I’m thinking most of them would be a gift for my mom and sister, hoping they like it more than me. All in all, it’s a good box with overall value of $53.40. That’s an extra of $31.40 from the subscription price. Good deal, right?

Heart it: ❤❤❤

Hugs, Dee

        1. Cheers to us who loves subscription boxes
          ⌒(o^▽^o)ノ LoL!
I have a total of 6 subscription boxes. Talk about obsession, right? Though two of them are books and foods subscription. I’ve never heard of the Look Incredible boxes (probably we don’t have it here) but I do know the Look Fantastic boxes since I know they ship internationally. I’m still undecided if I want to try them out… can’t make up my mind.
